A career made in the Vet industry
I have been part of the Team at Audevard for over 4 years now. Prior to joining Audevard I worked for a large animal health pharmaceutical company for 16 years. I began my career first working in finance for an animal health wholesaler and then in veterinary practice, so the veterinary world is in my DNA. Horses have always been part of my life, having first sat on a donkey when I was 3. The ‘bug’ grew from there. From gymkhanas with donkeys to competing at the Horse of The Year Show and European Championships, my passion with horses soon became a lifestyle.
Building loyal relationships with vets
In my role at Audevard I am responsible for UK sales. I lead a team of two account managers and work closely with the technical, marketing, finance and digital teams as part of my Key Account Manager role. My focus is to build loyal relationships with partners nationally and grow the Audevard brand. As a small team, I’m involved with everything from arranging congresses, to rolling out product listings, to negotiating annual partnership agreements. A role of great variety.
Audevard’s strategy is working closely with and supporting equine vets, providing a quality service and products for practices and clients alike. I support equine vets directly at practice and via group head offices, with a strong focus on educational support, providing reliable and consistent communication wherever needed.
I’m a real people person, who loves to showcase our brand and team at congresses and events. When equine vets come to find us at events it gives me a real buzz.
The momentum for arranging scientific meetings between our veterinary advisor and equine practices is really growing, especially where we can discuss latest studies and see the vets interested and engaged. It’s always rewarding to share the latest research and insights on disease management and molecules, knowing vets can benefit from the updates in daily practice.
During these meetings, precious moments are shared by everyone, where time has been taken to gather together and share information and give feedback. These scientific meetings allow us to get to know everyone better and help understand their needs.
Developing close working relationships with equine vets; to support them and their clients is a key part of why I love doing what I do.
As a manager, it’s also really motivating when the team by working together succeeds in our missions. Apart from that, as a commercial person, hitting targets, when there has been a steep hill to climb, who doesn’t love that. We spend a lot of time working, so my moto is to enjoy it.
Horses and Development at the heart of the company
Audevard is 100% dedicated to equine health and well-being. Our strengths really do lie within the team. The experience and expertise within equine really shine through.
That said, there are challenges within the equine veterinary profession, and this is why Audevard continues to invest wherever possible to bring solutions to the marketplace.
The support from the Lim Group, who is horse centric by nature, is invaluable. The Saddle and Health entities have local teams in each country. This gives great synergy and collective intelligence. We meet several times a year and it is great to share topical industry news and exchange information. The horse’s well-being is really a key concern in the whole group, and we are all conscious we need to partner with Equine Vets for the long term to develop support further.
With the groups foundations and roots being focused fully on horses, the team’s passion and expertise can be felt and seen in every department and we are proud to support equine vets today and for the future.
Audevard, for 40 years dedicated to horses and those who take care of them.
