From Veterinarian to Regulatory Affairs
I have been with Audevard since 2014—just over ten years now. I currently hold the position of Qualified Person and Director of Quality and Regulatory Affairs.
A veterinarian by training, I began my career at Merial in Regulatory Affairs, working specifically on vaccines. I then moved to the Paris region to take on a role similar to the one I currently hold at Audevard, but within the mass retail sector.
After that experience, I felt the need to return to the veterinary field in order to work with more technical products and to reconnect with veterinary practitioners. That’s when I joined Audevard—a fast-growing company with a compelling mission. Strengthening the equine therapeutic arsenal across Europe within a human-scale organization, supported by investments in R&D, was exactly what I was looking for at that point in my career.
In parallel, I resumed my studies in 2019 and completed a Master’s degree in Health Strategy and Management at ESSEC, with the aim of gaining deeper insight into corporate strategic issues.
Ensuring veterinarian satisfaction through high-quality products and a comprehensive arsenal
At Audevard, I am responsible for multiple areas:
-
- On one hand, I ensure that our products comply not only with regulatory requirements but also with our internal quality standards.
I make sure that Audevard maintains its pharmaceutical license and provides medicines that meet veterinarians’ expectations in terms of safety and quality.
I also oversee the quality of our other products—such as complementary feeds and biocides—to ensure they meet the highest possible standards. - On the other hand, I am responsible for in-house pharmaceutical development, with the goal of creating new solutions for equine veterinarians across Europe.
- On one hand, I ensure that our products comply not only with regulatory requirements but also with our internal quality standards.
My work allows veterinarians to use our products with full confidence in their quality, efficacy, and safety.
It is also a collaborative effort: veterinarians help us as much as we help them. Every piece of feedback from a practitioner—whether about our products or a competitor’s—helps us improve our offerings, not only for that individual but for all their colleagues across Europe. Each day and every experience contributes to delivering the best possible product to our clients.
Every product used means another animal treated
I have always had a strong interest in medicines—their development, their mechanisms—more so than in private practice itself. Although my career has taken me away from clinical work, I remain deeply committed to animal care. My way of contributing is through a role that enables me to deliver high-quality products to my fellow veterinarians, helping them do what they do best: care for animals.
Developing quality products while navigating a complex regulatory environment is what drives me. Every use of a product I have helped bring to market represents another animal treated—or an improvement in its well-being. That is a powerful source of motivation and a daily reminder of my identity as a veterinarian.
Audevard: an agile and supportive company
We are a lean organization, which enhances our agility thanks to shorter decision-making processes than in larger structures. This allows us to move quickly, with everyone understanding both their role and that of their colleagues.
Audevard is also a mission-driven company, firmly focused on equine veterinarians and the solutions we can provide to make their work easier. All of this is carried out by a team of experts in their respective fields, working within a supportive and collaborative environment.
This balance of high standards and a caring culture, combined with a clear mission and a human-scale structure, has enabled me to thrive for over ten years and to continue growing alongside the company’s evolving vision.
Audevard, for 40 years dedicated to horses and those who take care of them.
